Service Outage for Elsevier’s ScienceDirect Journals and Scopus Database on August 25 -26

Elsevier’s ScienceDirect platform, through which the University of Miami accesses over 2500 journal titles, and Elsevier’s SCOPUS database will be unavailable from 7:30AM EST on Saturday, August 25 through 2:30 AM EST on Sunday, August 26th. This interruption is part of the publisher’s efforts to upgrade these two services and provide improved user experience for RSS feeds, image searching, and other features.

Patrons needing to access Elsevier journal content are encourage to download those articles that they will need prior to this outage, as this content will not be available during that time.  Users who are performing literature searches should consider using the ISI Web of Knowledge database, available here:
