The Faculty Exploratory is located in the Richter Library, Room 305
The Faculty Exploratory has been designed as a multipurpose space to facilitate UM faculty interactions with technology and conversations about its use in teaching & learning.
One Button Studio – an automated video studio designed for easy video recording. Walk in, insert a flash drive, record a video, and take the video with you.
MediaScape – Bring their own devices, plug them into a display, and share screens and media. It seats 9-12 people comfortably and would be a great place to view webinars or collaborate on research and projects.
Informal Meeting Space – Sit and talk comfortably with a few people about new projects, trends, strategies, and other forward-thinking ideas. As opposed to a formal conference room, this space is intended to foster creativity and innovative thought.
Technology Demonstration Space – This is a space where people can go to get hands-on experience with new devices such as tablets and wearable technology (Google Glass, Occulus Rift).
The Faculty Exploratory can be booked by UM faculty and UM instructional designers. The room is available for reservation during library hours. Staff assistance in using the lab is available Monday – Friday from 9am – 5pm.

First time users or those needing to arrange for faculty instruction should contact the Richter Library or UM Academic Technology to arrange for the initial booking, orientation and/or training:

Returning users make reserve the room directly at : http://libcal.miami.edu/booking/exploratory. You will receive an email confirmation/approval of the booking within 24 hours.
