Course Reserves provide access to supplemental course material assigned by an instructor. These materials include scores, books, audio and video recordings, electronic articles, and personal copies from instructors. These items are available for 3-hour Library Use Only, unless otherwise specified by the course instructor.

Student Borrowing Responsibilities

Each student must present a valid picture ID to check out Course Reserves items. The loan of Course Reserves material may not be renewed. Students are financially responsible for all material borrowed and any fines incurred.

Overdue Fines for 3-hour Library Use Only Course Reserves: $1 per hour

Accessing Course Reserves Materials

Print Course Reserves (including scores, books, audio and video recordings) can be checked out with your Cane Card or a valid picture ID at the Circulation Desk on the 1st Floor of the Marta and Austin Weeks Music Library. You must provide the item’s call number.

You can search for Print Course Reserves through the Library Catalog.

Electronic Course Reserves and Streaming Audio Course Reserves can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, through Blackboard.

Viewing Course Reserves through Blackboard

1. Log into Blackboard and select the appropriate link:

a. For books, scores, DVDs, and electronic articles, select Course Reserves.

b. For streaming audio recordings, select Audio Reserves.

2. Under Course Reserves, you can click the provided link to view Print and/ or Electronic Course Reserves materials.
