Welcome to the University of Miami Libraries! The Otto G. Richter Library is the main UM library, located in the center of the Coral Gables campus. The Coral Gables campus also houses the Architecture, Business, Law and Music Libraries. The Marine Library is located on Key Biscayne, while the Calder Medical Library is located downtown at the Miller School of Medicine. Each library has its own access and borrowing policies; please visit the appropriate library website for details.
Access to Library Materials & Services
Visitors without a valid UM ID card may pay a fee to enter a UM library.

Access fees do not provide borrowing privileges, computer access, or interlibrary loan services.
Computers, Printing, Copying
Richter Library offers 12 stand-up PCs for walk-in users, limited to quick library catalog searches. Access to all other public computers requires a valid UM ID. Library users not currently enrolled or employed with the University of Miami do not have remote access to licensed electronic resources.
Information and Research Services
Reference service is available on a walk-in basis at the Information & Research Assistance desk at each library. Interlibrary loan services are restricted to patrons with a valid UM ID.
