Printing and Copying
Print and Photocopy services are provided by UPrint and require the use of a UM CaneCard / CaneExpress account, or the purchase of a UPrint Guest Card. An annual amount is automatically allocated to University students and faculty to off-set the cost of printing/copying [Students $100/yr ; Faculty $50/yr]; however additional funds can be added via CaneExpress.
Guests without a UM CaneCard (ID card) will need to purchase a Copy Card and add funds to it. Ask for a Copy Card at the Richter Library Circulation Desk and add funds using the Card Machine near the library printers. This machine may also be used to add funds to a Cane Express account using a CaneCard.
UPrint provides you several services:
- Wireless printing on campus (after you download the UPrint drivers)
- Black & White and Color Printing
- Black & White and Color Copying
- Scanning with Global Scan (this service is free. You can also scan any document and send it to yourself via email.)
These services are available using the computers at any of the libraries or computer labs at the Coral Gables and RSMAS campuses. UPrint services are also available from your laptops if you download the proper UPrint drivers, available for Windows and Mac Platforms.
If the UPrint service within the Libraries is malfunctioning, Library Staff will redirect printing to a bypass solution. Please contact a library service desk if you encounter problems while printing in the Libraries.
