Two Mellon Foundation Fellows Appointed

We are pleased to announce the appointment of two Fellows resulting from the Mellon Foundation-funded initiative Leveraging Cultural Resources through Intra-Institutional Collaboration.
Laura Fedynyszyn has accepted the position of Mellon Foundation Conservation Fellow at the University of Miami Libraries and Lowe Art Museum. As an independent conservator, Laura has been engaged by a variety of cultural institutions and government agencies in Canada to treat condition problems in a wide variety of art media as well as in historic paper documents. Laura completed a post-baccalaureate diploma in Conservation and Collections Management from Fleming College, following completion of a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Laura’s office will be in Richter Library, and she will start work in late November.
Christina Larson has accepted the position of Mellon Foundation Academic Engagement Fellow at the University of Miami Libraries and Lowe Art Museum. Most recently, Christina served as a Mellon Foundation Fellow at the Toledo Museum of Art, where she delivered public programs, managed projects, and curated an exhibition. She has also taught courses on art history at Cuyahoga Community College and Case Western Reserve University. Christina holds a Ph.D. in Art History and an M.A. in Art History and Museum Studies from Case Western Reserve University and a B.A. with Honors in Art History and English from the University of Iowa. Christina’s office will be located in the Lowe Art Museum, and she will begin her position on October 30, 2017.
