The lab has equipment available for digitizing analog materials. You can reserve one of our digitization workstations at the following website: online reservations

Pay Us to Do It For You

Patrons can also have the Digital Media Lab staff reformat their old media into a digital format. If you lack the time or the ability to do it yourself, we will reformat into a digital file that we can save on a harddrive or flashdrive you drop off or burned into a CD.

  • Service = $10.00/hr
  • Optional CD or DVD disk : $1.00/per disk (includes sleeve)
  • bring this Form filled out with your project
  • Turn around time is 7 days or more depending on order size and time in semester.
*Since conversions often take a week or more. If you need some thing completed immediately, staff will be happy to instruct you so that you can convert it yourself in the lab. You can also assign your TA or graduate student to learn and reformat for you.

All other Formats

We can attempt to digitize other formats if you have a player for it. For example, mini-cassette tape, Jaz drive, or Betamax player. But we cannot guarantee it will work or the quality of the digital file.
