Reformatting & Media Conversion Service
Patrons can now have the Digital Media Lab staff reformat their old media into a digital format. If you lack the time or the ability to do it yourself, we will reformat a range of older media into a digital format, including conversions from VHS, DVDs, Audio Cassette, LPs, Photos, 35mm Slides, and 8mm Film Strips.
- Service = $9.00/hr – bring this Form filled out with your project.
- Do it Yourself Instruction = Free!
Assistance & Instruction
During staff hours, we are available to instruct you on any or all of our software or equipment. We don’t know everything (that’s a lot of software) but we will work with you to come to a solution for any problem you may have.
Staff will also help solve any general technical questions you may have, whether it is web related or just an issue you are having with your own computer. No guarantees, but we’ll try our best!
Patrons may also take advantage of the Richter Library’s subscription to Lynda.com to watch instructional videos on a variety of software.
For more information see our Help page.
Faculty members who are interested in integrating a digital aspect into their classes or assignments should consult with a specialist at the Digital Media Lab. We may be available to give instruction to small groups of students or just to help you come up with ideas for creating a reasonable digital media project.
The Lab now offers large and small format high-quality printing on glossy and photo quality paper. See our Printing page for more information.
