Information and Research Services
Reference service is available on a walk-in basis at the information and research assistance desk at each library, and also remotely via Ask a Librarian. Interlibrary Loan services are not available to Alumni.
Research Databases for Alumni
The library is pleased to offer two specialized research databases for Alumni. Both databases require the use of a special username and password. Username and password is available in the benefits section of the UM Alumni app or you can call the Alumni Association Office for assistance c/o Nicole Rankow: 305-284-2872. Please note that your CaneID username and password will *not* work to access these resources.
Academic Search Alumni Edition is designed for the research needs of the post-college professional. The database provides full text for nearly 1,350 publications as well as indexing and abstracting for nearly 8,000 publications. Academic Search Alumni Edition also includes valuable peer-reviewed full text journals, offering critical information from many sources.
Business Source Alumni Edition provides nearly 800 full text business magazines and journals. BSA contains PDF images for the great majority of journals; many of these PDFs are searchable or scanned-in-color.
