We are embarking on a review and redesign of the Libraries’ web presence in order to take advantage of the changes in the University of Miami libraries (UML) environment, as well as to enhance our current technical infrastructure.
The newly created Website Redesign Advisory Team (WebRAT) in coordination with the User Experience (UX) Team and the Web & Application Development Department will be leading this redesign effort. The website reflects us all, so we want the redesign effort to be transparent and participatory. We will be sharing relevant documents via Box; soliciting feedback through surveys, focus groups and public fora; and providing regular updates online and in person. Each member of the team is responsible for communicating our efforts to assigned departments, collections or libraries.
We are planning to have the main (UML) website as well as the distinctive collections (Cuban Heritage Collection, Special Collections, University Archives) live in advance of the start of the fall 2017 semester. We will then turn to the branch websites, and launch them as they are complete and each branch is ready. Questions? Email Andrew Darby.
