Mission & History
Through the generous support of the Miami Herbert Business School and Judi Prokop Newman, a UM alum, the Information Resource Center was founded in 1999. This subject-specialty library is located within the Miami Herbert Business School complex and staffed by a full-time business librarian and several research advisors.
The Information Resource Center is a virtual library. Access to digital resources is provided via the Center’s desktops or the University’s wireless network. Its mission is to support its constituents within the nine subject disciplines taught at the Miami Herbert Business School.
The facility contains 18 permanently installed computers, all with the full Microsoft Office suite (Windows 10).
