Visitor Information
The ARC houses a core collection of architecture and urban planning and design, while the Otto G. Richter Library houses an additional 20,000+ volumes on the same, which may be found in the 5th and 6th floor stacks of the Richter library.
Visitor hours at the ARC are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m, Tuesday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays and Fridays; closed Saturday and Sunday.

Access to Library Materials & Services
Visitors without a valid UM ID card may pay a fee to enter a UM library payable at the Otto G. Richter Library.

Access fees do not provide borrowing privileges, computer access, or interlibrary loan services.
Computer Access
The ARC currently has two public computer stations. Reservations can be made through our Book a Study Room page.
Information & Research Services
Visit the Information & Research Assistance desk at each library for assistance with locating or retrieving library materials. Interlibrary loan services are restricted to patrons with a valid UM ID.
Reciprocal Borrowing
Faculty visitors from institutions that are members of the OCLC network have access to UML facilities under the reciprocal borrowing and access program. More information about Reciprocal Borrowing Agreements.
