The University Archives holds a wide variety of historical materials donated by the University, its schools and departments, faculty, student groups, and affiliated organizations.
Books and Periodicals
Publications by the University and its subordinates have been added to Richter’s general collection. Please go to Richter’s online catalog below to research them. The University of Miami Press publications are also listed there.
Archival Collection
The University Archives’ historical collections, such as organizational records, manuscripts, audio and visual materials, scrapbooks, and memorabilia, are listed in the separate database below.
Digital Collection
Please go to the link below to browse and search The Miami Hurricane (1927-2012), The Carrell (1960-1996), Tempo (1949-1971), and Veritas (1960-2008). Also, we have been able to digitize selected number of items in the University of Miami Historical Photograph Collection and the University of Miami Campus Architecture Collection.

Oral Histories
- University of Miami 60th Anniversary Collection consists of 66 videotaped interviews conducted by the Office of Student Affairs of the University in 1986.
