The University Archives is the repository of official historical records of the University of Miami. Access to the Archives is provided at the Kislak Center. In September 2007, the University appointed the first University Archivist, Koichi Tasa. Until then, the University Archives were an integrated part of the Richter Library’s Special Collections Division. Now an independent administrative unit, the Archives continues to be serviced through the Kislak Center. Its collection is housed in several locations in Richter library and their offsite storage facility.
